Tank Truck Driving

Schneider is the industry leader in liquid bulk specialty chemical transportation. With a need for both experienced and inexperienced truck drivers, Schneider offers both regional (typically 600 miles of driver's park location) and over-the-road (long-haul) opportunities in its Tank Division. Schneider Tank drivers enjoy predictable, flexible home time and maximum pay. Special bulk training is provided for qualified applicants toward ISO 9001:2000 certifications.

Schneider National Tank Carriers has developed and implemented a formal Time Off Program. It allows you as a driver to pick your days off well in advance. Each month, you will have six guaranteed days off to help you plan better.

The average pay range, based on experience is $38,000 to $80,000.

  • International Standards Organization (ISO) Certified

  • Transcaer Champion Status

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old (DOT requirement)
  • Hold a valid driver’s license (must be issued by your state of residence)
  • Tanker endorsement
  • Haz mat endorsement (or at least the background and fingerprints process started at time of hire)
  • TWIC card (or at least the background and fingerprints process started at time of hire)
  • FAST card (Required for Regional drivers in the Midwest and NE, optional for all others)
  • Clean driving record
  • Solid work history
