Expect Great Things
When you join Schneider National as an owner-operator, you'll be in the fast lane to a great career with a partner you can rely on. You'll participate in our driver orientation program, which is three-and-a-half day training session. You'll get paid for attending and completing the session.

DOT Drug Screen and physical is completed prior to orientation, which includes:
- Additional classroom training
- Road test
- Schneider National principles and procedures
  • Operating Center procedures

While you are completing orientation, your truck will have an appointment with our shop, where it will go through a Schneider National inspection which includes DOT standards to make sure that it is running at the peak of performance.

Also during orientation, you will be assigned to an Independent Contractor Advisor. Your advisor will be there to guide and support you while you're out on the road and will also help you with issues concerning dispatch, pay and additional training. They are your go-to person, whom you can rely on everyday, no matter where you are nationwide.
