Intermodal Truck Driving

Local and Regional Opportunities Allow More Time-At-Home

For those interested in local or regional truck driving careers, Schneider’s Intermodal Division offers short-haul driving positions delivering freight to and from rail yards (drayage assignments). These positions combine highway and rail service trucking duties. Schneider Intermodal drivers also enjoy daily time-at-home or home time throughout the week, making it a great choice for drivers with families.

Regardless of the region you cover, you will enjoy a higher degree of predictability and consistency, both in terms of work schedule and routes.

The average pay range, based on experience is $32,000 to $53,000.

Requirements:

  • Must be at least 21 years old (DOT requirement)
  • Hold a valid driver's license (must be issued by your state of residence)
  • Clean driving record
  • Solid work history
